January 23, 2013, Atlanta, GA – Southeastrans has been awarded a contract with the Arkansas Department of Human Services to manage Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services in Regions 7 and 12. The contract begins February 1, 2013, and contains renewal options through June 30, 2017. Southeastrans will be managing Medicaid NEMT services in seven counties, including the Little Rock area, serving approximately 100,000 Medicaid beneficiaries. Southeastrans will manage the Arkansas NEMT Program using its new NET InSight trip management software including mobile automated trip tracking and verification technology.

All NEMT Providers in Southeastrans’ Arkansas NEMT Provider network will utilize computer tablets with Southeastrans proprietary mobile technology to provide real-time tracking and validation of all assigned pick-up and drop-offs. “We are pleased to have this opportunity to expand into Arkansas and to work with the Department of Human Services, Division of Medical Services.”, said Steve Adams, President of Southeastrans. Southeastrans has opened a call center and central business office in Little Rock to administer the transportation services contract, including the development and oversight of a local transportation provider network.
