SOUTHEASTRANS CONTRACTS WITH ADVOCARE OF TENNESSEE TO MANAGE NON-EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION
March 10, 2009, Atlanta, GA – Southeastrans has contracted with AdvoCare of Tennessee, a division of Magellan Health Services, to manage non-emergency transportation for TennCare Members enrolled with the company’s behavioral health plans. Southeastrans will be coordinating transportation services throughout Tennessee for AdvoCare’s two health plans; Premier Health and Tennessee Behavioral Health. The contract, which began on January 1, 2009, will serve approximately 75,000 members. “We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Magellan Health Services to expand our range of services to the citizens of Tennessee”, said Benjie Alexander, Vice-President of Business Development for Southeastrans.
Southeastrans already serves over 500,000 TennCare members under a separate contract with Volunteer State Health Plan. Southeastrans operates a statewide call center in Chattanooga, Tenn., and a regional office in Memphis, Tenn.
