Southeastrans Ranked 47th Fastest Growing Company in U.S.
April 25, 2008, Atlanta, GA – Southeastrans, Inc. has been recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. in the May 2008 issue of Entrepreneur Magazine. The magazine surveyed data from almost 21 million businesses to find the top 100 companies in America with the fastest growth between 2003 and 2007. Only companies founded between 1999 and 2003 with revenues exceeding $100,000 annually were considered in the final ranking. During the period surveyed, Southeastrans’ annual revenues increased from $9.0 million to $40.3 million, a 348% increase over the four year term. This level of growth placed Southeastrans 47th on the list of the nation’s top 100 fastest growing companies.
Southeastrans contracts with state agencies and managed care companies to administer non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) programs. The company was founded by Steve R. Adams, President and Chief Executive Officer in 2000 and has been under contract with the Georgia Department of Community Health for the past 8 years as a Medicaid NEMT Broker. Southeastrans began operations in Fulton and Dekalb counties in 2000, providing over 500,000 medically related trips annually. In 2005, the company contracted with the state to manage the 44-county region in North Georgia, more than doubling the Atlanta-based operations. Southeastrans was awarded an additional 36 counties in central Georgia in March, 2007. The company now serves over 700,000 Medicaid Members and coordinates over 1.5 million trips annually. Southeastrans also provides transportation management services for the Georgia Department of Human Resources and Peach State Health Plan of Georgia.
