Resource Management

Vehicle Operator TrainingTransportation providers who contract with Southeastrans must assure that all vehicle operators are properly trained and oriented before they are authorized to transport passengers. Since many of the training programs are highly specialized and often not readily available to providers, Southeastrans offers all the required training programs through our Provider Relations Department. Classes are offered on a routine basis to the providers or their employees. The Provider Relations Department is a valuable tool in maintaining high levels of service and quality throughout the transportation network.

Southeastrans’ Provider Relations Department provides training programs and other information resources to assist transportation providers in their service delivery and business development. All new transportation providers must complete a Provider Orientation and Training Session to assure that providers are fully aware of all contractual obligations and requirements related to the provision of transportation services.

Training programs in Defensive Driving, CPR, First Aid, Proper Lifting Techniques, and Patient Sensitivity Training are available to transportation providers on an on-going basis. The Provider Relations Manager also maintains a list of business references to assist providers in obtaining vehicle and liability insurance, vehicle maintenance services, and other business related resources.
